I’ve heard about Al Fox/Carraway – a woman who joined the LDS church several years ago, and was famous either because she had heaps of tatoos, or some other reason. I don’t go for the famous and popular in the Church (or elsewhere, really) but today when I looked at her blog, I just liked it. It’s down-to-earth, honest, and simple, but really encouraging. I think I like it.
This is the post I read today: “That’s Just Who I Am”
I want to not have those days that just pass without substance or meaning or progress, to have ‘raw’ prayers, and to stop forgetting that there’s oh-so-much-more that’s really in front of me; so much more that is in store and that’s excellent (this was also the topic of yesterday’s RS lesson, about E. Uchtdorf’s excellent ‘umbrella’ talk). But I have to get there, and rely on the One who will empower me to make it. Al explains it well, and gives practical answers that ring true and give that little bit of extra encouragement.
